Unexplained Nausea in 75 year old
Intractable nausea of 2 months cured with a homeopathic remedy.

This is an acute case of a 75 year old woman with intractable nausea for 2 months. She has been thoroughly investigated for this and they could not find any obvious cause. But no medication seemed to help, till she sought help from homeopathy. Below are the details she gave.
This problem started 2 months back and I still have it. I Have it most of the time, sometimes better and sometimes worse. I have it though the night as well as burning the day. I can sleep for 2 hours and when I awake it is there, just the same as if I would have been up for ½ day, or so.It’s kinda like a nausea feeling , but more of an aching feeling rather than burning or cramping. The location is right below the rib area in the soft part , and above the navel, also at the same time can be in my throat, kinda nausea or achy feeling.
It was very hot one day and I was not feeling a bit well and went to bed several times. Could almost go to sleep sitting up. The next day was some cooler and I seemed some better. Sometimes. (only sometimes) I think that when I lean forward it could be a little better. I seem to be under a lot of stress and have been for sometime, with moving, selling farm site. Taking care of much of my mother affairs since she has died etc. but I can not understand that I should be stressed out over this, moving into an other home in town near where our son lives and moving from a farm site that called for much work that I could not do anymore . should have been a joy. Concerned over a CT scan that is coming up the end of the month to compare with some questionable things they seen on one that was done about 3 months ago.
I would say that I prefer cold water in 8 Oz at a time. Never cared much for white milk. I am hot more than I am cold. I keep a fan by my side of the bed, that I put off and on though the night. I do not sleep as well as I would like, I think it is difficult to fall asleep when you are have a sick feeling.
I would say that my mental state late last summer before all these things took place was fairly good. When you feel good the mental state I think is always better too. I would say that I perhaps am a fairly anxious person..I get concerned if my health goes wacky. I am a persons that will write myself notes to be sure I do not forget anything. I seem to feel responsible. We are getting older and I find myself thinking who will go first, If I do what will happen to my husband . Could he get along alone, which I doubt. He forgets some things. The children would have to take over on the finances etc. We have very supportive children.
Follow Up:
After 1 week: Sorry I am late with this Last Monday and Tuesday were not very good. Then the next days I began to feel better. We are now Sunday evening and I am still remaining better than what I had been. Took my last dose of silica last Monday night at 11:30 pm. (Liquid 1 teas.)
After 18 days: I took the silica 30 as you had instructed and lately I have been better with very very, little nausea. I still need to rest for a while in the afternoon , after that it seems I can do things better and feel more rested.

Remedy: Silica
Discussion: This is actually a patient with a lot of serious, “incurable” chronic problems (COPD, liver haemangioma’s, severe unexplained backache, interstitial cystitis, etc) and was steadily getting worse. She responded very well to chronic homeopathic treatment over a year and a half. She now does not have symptoms of any of the above conditions.
She developed this symptom (intractable nausea) after most of her chronic problems had settled, and as usua,l no diagnosis could be found after a lot of investigation. She had Silica 30C 3 doses at bedtime for 3 consecutive days, and repeated again the following week for 3 days. I would have preferred a Silica 200C due to the intensity of the nausea, but she did not have it with her. She has only the 30C in her kit and hence needed more repetition of the remedy.
